Glass Door Latching

There is a serious need in the hardware industry for a product that can be used on glass doors that need to be positive latching. The doors in the video aren't required by code to latch, but when glass doors are used in an atrium separation they need to behave like rated doors, including positive latching. The devices can't be dogged, so the only way to release the latches is with electric strikes, which are very noisy. The industry needs a glass door exit device with active trim, or a quieter electric strike.
