Girls Jumping and Bouncing in Ultra Slow Motion

OK So I found this commercial (I don't know who it's for) of these girls bouncing in super slow motion. They used a Phantom Gold HD Camera for the super slow motion effects. The slow motion was shot at around 800 to 1000 frames per second (Again, I don't know the specifics but it looks to me at about 1000 fps). I was able to find a HD download and took this video and put it into After Effects. I made a new composition (Making sure the frame rate was 25 frames) and then enabled the Motion Blur and the Frame Blend. I also changed the Resolution to THIRD. I then activated the Time Remapping and took this 30 second clip and stretched to 6 Minutes. The result is what you are watching on the screen above. Granted this isn't perfect. You can still see some blurry movement and the picture is fuzzy in some spots, but the results are spectacular. I think I took 1000 FPS and turned it into 10,000 frames! All by using After Effects!!! Who needs Twixtor? I've been noticing that slow motion film shot on the Phantom (GOLD, Flex, v12), Weisscam HS-2, Photron and the Sony FS700 seem to have the best results when trying to create Ultra Slow Motion, however if you want to duplicate this process, the film MUST have been converted down to 24 frames or 25 frames. 30 frames is a hit and miss. Sometimes it doesn't work. The same can be said for slow motion film shot on the Casio Exilim. I'll explain later in other videos. There are other You Tube tutorial videos out there that can explain how to create slow motion shots in After Effects. Just follow what they say and you can do the same. The only difference is in the Resolution. Most of the time I set it to THIRDS. Some people don't do this, but I found it to be very helpful. Stay tuned, this is only the tip of the iceberg! More to come.....
