A three-month-old giant panda cub, the offspring of giant pandas Xing Xing and Liang Liang, made its first public appearance on Tuesday at the Giant Panda Conservation Center of the Zoo Negara in Malaysia. The cub, yet to be named, was lying prone nearly motionless. It kept sleeping, but opened eyes once in a while. Many visitors were attracted by the cute animal and busy taking photos of it. Some arrived at to the zoo specially to have a look at the cub after long hours of drive. "I'm happy to achieve my dream. I don't need to go to China, I can see the pandas here. I'm quite happy. I don't have the chance to go to China," said a visitor by the name Zhong. "We have never seen a giant panda. Now we have the opportunity, so we came here to have a look," said another. Moat Naim Bin Haji Ramli, director of the conservation center, said the cub is in good condition with its weight increasing from 175 grams to 5.5 kilograms over the past three months. "Three months old and 5.5 kilogram is very good condition and that's why we decided this is the good time to display it one hour daily," said the director.
