Germany plans travel ban for home-grown extremists

Germany is to seize the identity cards of radical Islamists it suspects of planning to travel to Syria or Iraq.
Intelligence officials think around 450 people have left the country to join the militant group ISIL.
Current law allows the seizure of passports, but new rules will also prevent ID cards being used to travel to European countries including Turkey which borders Iraq and Syria.
