German Chancellor Angela Merkel has retained the top spot on the list of Forbes' 'Most Powerful Women' for the ninth straight year.
The magazine said Merkel wields power over the fourth largest economy in the world and the EU's largest member state.
The new president of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, was second,... while Speaker of U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi was third.
Among the political leaders and activists on the list were the President of Hotel Shilla Lee Boo-jin,... who is also the daughter of Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee.
Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg rounded out the top 100.
