Bush spoke at the Dallas memorial service today to honor the fallen officers and preached a message of unity. “Too often,” he said, “we judge other groups by their worst examples while judging ourselves by our best intentions.” Bush: "Too often we judge other groups by their worst examples…This has strained our bonds of understanding" Bush continued, “And this has strained our bonds of understanding and common purpose.” The former president expressed the pride of the nation in the courage of the police officers who lost their lives while keeping others safe.
