Protests over the death of George Floyd broke out for a second consecutive evening in Minneapolis.

Police have reportedly used tear gas and fired rubber bullets in an attempt to disperse crowds after they’d become violent.

TV news footage shows missiles being thrown at police, fires started in the street and stores being looted.

The 46-year-old died in police custody on Monday after he’d been handcuffed, the arresting officer used his knee to restrain George Floyd for almost eight minutes until he eventually became unresponsive.

Minneapolis Police responded by firing the four officers involved with the arrest, although Mayor Jacob Frey has since called for criminal charges.
