2nd part of my Genji playthrough.
00:52 - Boss #4: Nue - And here we have Nue, who has a pretty easy to counter Kamui. This is a good time to note that when getting materials for bosses, you can't just get them infinitely. For example, the material from this boss is Nue's Claw and when you take one off, you can see one of his two claws visably missing. Most bosses you can only get materials from once or twice. Nue himself isn't too hard to fight, even though I do kinda poorly against him. Don't try to dodge with Benkei like I did.
04:31 - Cutscene Differences - Depending on your character at the time, cutscenes will play slightly differently. Benkei and Yoshitsune and the people around them mostly say the same thing, but things do change. Like when Minazuru is being taken away and shouting for help, if I were playing as Yoshitsune she'd have shouted for Yoshitsune instead of Benkei.
08:07 - More Kamui - I forgot to mention this last video and still forgot to actually use it for quite a while. But after defeating a boss with an Amahagane, it's taken to Shizuka to increase your Kamui. With more Kamui, there's two ways to use it. One is to just use it one at a time and the other is to press L1 whilst in Kamui again to slow down time at the cost of another bar. Doing this makes it easier to counter. With more bars, you can even slow down time further, up to 4 times. Also, since I defeated that last boss as Benkei, he gets the Kamui boost first. Yoshitsune will get it from the next boss.
14:15 - Elements - You'll notice these swords, Fox Fire, are engulfed with flames. Certain weapons have elemental effects that have a chance of triggering, even on bosses, per attack. Fire, Lightning, Ice, and Poison are the elements. Fire deals damage over time, Lightning makes you unable to attack and barely move, Ice freezes you on the spot, and Poison...I guess decreases defense? Certain enemies attack with these elements as well and certain armor and accessories can defend against them.
17:35 - Splitting Up - Certain parts of the game will have Benkei and Yoshitsune split up, which I like alot since it feels like they're working together. This means these parts will always play out the same however, regardless of who you enter here with.
21:24 - Big Armored Sword Guy - I don't know his actual name. But this type of enemy is the only non-boss enemy to drop a material upon a successful Kamui and I mean this enemy type specifically. Latter in the game you fight different, stronger versions of them, but they don't drop this material. And landing a Kamui on this enemy type shatters his armor, if not killing him instantly.
24:13 - Gojo Prison - So, I entered this place with Yoshitsune. Don't do that. Why? Because there's nothing for him to do here, and you never get a chance to back track. So there's two gates Benkei could have smashed that I never got to see what was inside. So do this with Benkei. If you really want to use Yoshitsune, come in with Benkei, break the gates for the free stuff, then leave and come back as Yoshitsune.
28:00 - Boss #5: Hoe Goblin 2 - And here's the rematch against Hoe Goblin. I foolishly used my Kamui on some peons before this because I was getting annyed how I couldn't land a counter attack, so I had none for this fight. As a result I never managed to land a counter until at the very end. And it should be noted that even if you land a counter on the boss and get the material to drop, if it's the killing blow, the cutscene that forces you to leave will prevent you from getting the item. But he just drops the same material as you get for the first encoutner with him, so it's not a big deal here. Hoe's a bit stronger than before, he has more moves now. I should have waited till I built up too Kamui to use double Kamui to slow down his moves even further.
34:42 - Benkei's Naginatas - I forgot to show this off when this weapon was given to me, but Benkei can equip a 2nd weapon type unlike Yoshitsune who can only have the one. The naginata can't be charged like the club, but it has more range and is usually more powerful. And I personally find it funner to use. Also, you see me try to go back to the Prison here, but it's blocked off.
49:39 - Boss #6: Kagekiyo Taira - Now this guy is fun to fight. And he's got us outclassed, but luckily he's holding back for this fight. Attacks with his sheathed sword have a chance to inflict Poison status, so watch out for that. He can also shoot shockwaves with it. He doesn't drop anything from landing a Kamui, and frankly it might be better to not even do it for this fight. He does 3 attacks with his Kamui, but you will only be able to slow down time for 2 of them. It's pretty hard to hit them all without practice. Aside from that, you just gotta fight him. Don't bring Benkei though. He has like no chance to dodge most the time.
