Gemcraft Chasing Shadows | Vision Field V4 (Updated Version)

This is the promised new 'walkthrough' of the field V4 in Gemcraft CS. Apparently, the shadow aggressiveness killed the old one. Notes: This was the third attempt on V4 since the update. The first one, I oversummoned and was dramatically weakened lategame, but still won. The second, I oversummoned on the 5th wave, and quit. This video was more the result of intuitive gameplay from years (months?) of experience than a completely optimized version. Tips: 1. It is very strongly recommended that one summons in the first few waves. This gives a durable advantage later on; with the slight extra mana you earn, you can get better gems that prevent you from losing mana to monsters getting through. I find that the first wave takes two g1 gems, the 2nd wave takes 3 g1 gems, and the rest can be improvised based on how fast you are killing the monsters. It is important not to keep summoning with three gems after the second wave for more than several waves, as it is easy to get overwhelmed that way, but more testing is needed to confirm. 2. The first gem should be a dual gem for the damage and attack speed bonus that dual gems get. I am unsure if this is a necessity, but it seems to help. 3. Poison gems are bad, so stacking +critical (yellow) gems seems to be optimal. Critical gems come in handy against the shadow. All amplifiers should be critical gems.
