Now, if you found the added voice acting or the brightness of the original games on Game Boy Advance distracting or otherwise not enjoyable, each one now has something for you. Each of the shown games now has at least one of these patches available for use. Super Mario Advance, Advance 2, and Advance 3 have a Color Restoration and Voice Removal patch. In the case of Advance 3, it feels like nothing was lost, as there were already very colorful sound effects for Yoshi that were removed in the transition to GBA voice clips. Additionally, the GBA baby's cry is kept for gameplay purposes--but the GBA cry is much less annoying and grating than the SNES one, so don't worry too much about it. Advance 4 has a Voice Removal patch--In addition to that, you can use a "Game Boy Player Palette Patch" that was recently released to force the palette used when played on Game Boy Player, which is the same as SNES. Furthermore, you can find a patch that allows you to play the e-Reader stages as they were on the Wii U VC version of the game, separate from this one. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords now has a voice removal patch--great if you thought the constant yelling when doing something as simple as swinging your sword was annoying. This game automatically includes a brightness option in the file select menu, so be sure to set it to "Dark" so it looks just as it did on SNES.
