Gangaur - Alluring art of Matheran - Bikaner - 2018

"गणगौर उत्सव" राजस्थान और सीमावर्ती मध्य प्रदेश का वो त्यौहार जो हर उम्र की महिलाओ के लिए बहुत खास है। गणगौर उत्सव में महिलाएं 18 दिन तक गवर और ईसर की प्रतिमाओ का पूजन करती है। इन प्रतिमाओ को देख कर ऐसा लगता है मानों सच में मा पार्वती और शिव हमारे सामने बैठे हो। इन प्रतिमाओं को इतना सजीव रूप देने की कला केवल मथेरणो में ही है तभी तो इस कला को माथेरन कला कहा जाता है। और राजस्थान की इस कला को महात्मा समाज के परिवारों से बड़े ही सहज भाव से संभाल रखा है और पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी इसे आगे बड़ा रहे है। - "Gangaur-Festival" The festival of Gangaur is a festival which is very special to the women of all ages in Rajasthan and its neighbouring states. In this festival the idols of lord ishar and goddess Ganwar are idolized for a period of 18 days. Seeing these idols together feels like god shiva and goddess parvati are sitting next to you in a parsonified manner. Only Matherans know this art of parsonifying these idols that they look so lively therefore this art of making these idols is also known as Matheran art.
