France: Paris - The inside and outside of Versailles, what to expect.

We took a day trip from Paris France to see the Palais de Versailles. Renowned for its ostentation and its gardens, we preferred the latter. Being from Montana and recently robbed (in Paris, not Versailles), the crowds were a bit overwhelming but we made amends with wine and ice cream as we toured the gardens. We made this little vid to help people wondering what to expect to see in Versailles Palace. We don't really go through the details of each room and section here but wanted to give a visual impression for those who are considering a visit to the home of Louis XIV. First off, the gardens are truly impressive and some of the largest in Europe. The line to get into the Palace is quite long, but for us, it moved fairly quickly. I would say that paying the extra entrance fee to get in to the music show section of the gardens is probably not worth it as they just play music through speakers with the fountains on. I would recommend having a glass of french wine on the lawn though. We were lucky in having sunny weather that wasn't too hot. It might be worth getting accommodation in the town of Versailles and getting an early start before the hordes show up.
