SOT, Thomas Joly, Party of France President (French): "The issues are the same for the English people, who do not want to see these immigrants arrive in their homes. So it's a European issue, it's a fight for civilisation that we have to lead if we still want to exist in a few decades, in order not to be a minority on our own land." M/S Protesters W/S Crowd applauding SCRIPT Around 300 people demonstrated at a rally organised by the Save Calais collective against the "immigration invasion" in Calais on Sunday. Protesters wore t-shirts reading "Save Calais" and chanted "Revolution." French Oeuvre leader Yvan Benedetti spoke at the rally, imploring protesters to defend themselves against refugees in Calais. According to Party of President, Thomas Joly, Calais citizens are engaged in a fight for civilisation, fearing that in a matter of decades, indigenous French will be minorities in France. Joly also claimed that crime had increased in Calais due to the presence of refugees. Around 1,300 migrants from the Horn of Africa, Sudan and Afghanistan are said to be currently in Calais, most of them wishing to cross into the UK.
