Foxeer F722 Dual Gyro Flight Controller Build & review - the Foxeer F722 Dual Gyro Flight Controller has an F7 processor, which is one of the fastest on the market today. the F7 is faster, all of its UART’s can handle both inverted and uninverted signals. This is especially handy for Frsky users because it means you can connect SBUS and SmartPort without worrying about signal inversion. F7 FC’s also have more available UART’s than older F3 and F4 processors.Accessories included with the F722 Dual FC, you will need your own standoffs. It comes pre-flashed with Betaflight 4.0 which is a BETA firmware so caution should be used when trying this Foxeer F722 Dual Gyro Flight Controller. Beta Builds are always buggy and can cause problems. The ICM20602 Gyro is an extremely sensitive Gyro, so you drone better not have alot of noise on it or it wont work very well mostly it may not arm. there is a noticable lacking of an ESC telemetry pin in the ESC header if thats important to you.There are onboard 5V and 9V voltage regulators. You can choose to power your camera and VTX with either 5V or 9V by bridging the right pads. By default, 5V is chosen for camera, and 9V is selected for VTX.there are supposedly 5 UART’s, but two of the UART’s are incomplete pairs: UART#1 only has TX1, and UART#4 only has RX4. the Foxeer F722 Dual Gyro Flight Controller has a great layout with camera pinout at the front and VTX pins on the right side. the Foxeer F722 Dual Gyro Flight Controller featues 2 gyros, MPU6000 is slower for up to 8K sampling rate, but it’s de[endable and robust against noise. The ICM gyro is faster and can run up to 32KHz, but it more susceptible to noise. there are some known problems with the firmware and possible design to the ICM20602 gyro that can cause problems. THIS IS NOT A BOARD for a Beginner until the Firmware has been approved for release. Even a season pilot could potentially have trouble with the ICM20602 Gyro.
