Flutes Flags n Flames Shankill Road

Heel & Ankle Theatre Company. Flag's Flutes n Flames. Heel & Ankle Theatre Company's new play, Flag's Flutes n Flames, within the Shankill Road Spectrum Centre. Flag's Flutes n Flames was on over two nights, & both nights seen great numbers come to watch & enjoy. This play was great fun & all those who took part in writing, acting & production should be very proud of themselves. This wee play gave a good insight into a topic that many swerve away from, & did so in a respectful, fun, yet educational way. Protestant Unionist Loyalist Culture is a Strong, Colourful & Vibrant Culture that gets bigger & better every year. It is a proud Culture & no one should fear nor vilify it. If many were to get a better understanding of this Culture I'm sure that most would see it in a different light. So with that said, I hope this little play can be used as an introduction to this subject, & instead of others looking for the bad, they can help showcase the good. All those involved in this play were voluntary community actors, some of which having done nothing like this before, & each & every one of them deserve a great big congratulation, from the young children who amazed us with their knowledgeable educational lines, to the older, or more mature, members who gave us the impression that they had been doing this for years. These people have given countless hours of their time freely, working hard to build something within their own community & I personally feel, believe, that they should be encouraged & helped where & when possible, even if it simply means going & showing them your support with your presence. Over the last few years there has been an awakening within the Greater Shankill Area concerning the Arts, as the attendance numbers of this play proves. So let's hope that Heel & Ankle Community Theatre Company, & others, can put something else on again in the near future. Until then though, & once again, I'd simply like to say Congratulation on behalf of all those who went, watched & enjoyed Flag's Flutes n Flames. Your hard work & countless hours of graft made this play the success it was. Thank You Heel & Ankle Shankill Road What's Happening.
