This is a live view from the FLIR ONE iPhone Infrared Camera. The video was captured through the FLIR ONE app on an iPhone 5, then shared to another iPhone via AirDrop. Recorded at CES 2014, the FLIR ONE video highlights interesting points of the expo hall in order to give the viewer a good idea of what is like to use the FLIR ONE Infrared Camera. Quite visible are hot breakers in an electrical panel, the cold HVAC system overhead, a myriad of expo attendees. Even the ambient temperature trade show graphics are visible thanks to the MSX blending technology.
The FLIR ONE iPhone Infrared Camera attaches to any iPhone 5 or 5S to offer live infrared imaging, as well as still image and video capture. While limited to a thermal resolution of 80 x 60 (4700 pixels), the FLIR ONE uses an integrated digital camera to supplement image detail. The resulting MSX image is a very helpful combination of visible and thermal data, even giving the impression of higher resolution. The FLIR ONE app can share captured data via email, text, AirDrop, and more. The app also allows users to share images and videos through all the usual social networking channels, including Facebook and Twitter.
