One of the highlights of my Barcelona trip was the dinner with flamenco show at Tablao de Carmen. The Flamenco show at Tablao de Carmen is a must see if you are travelling to Barcelona for the following reasons: 1. Tablao de Carmen is named after the most famous flamenco dancer of all times, Carmen Amaya. She started her career at the exact same stage at Tablao de Carmen in 1929 where King Alfonso XIII was one of the guests. 2. Tablao de Carmen is located at Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village). Built in 1929, Poble Espanyol was built to house the International Exhibition in Barcelona held that year. Here, you'll experience history, culture and beautiful crafts. As a Filipino, Poble Espanyol gave me a glimpse of the Philippines' Spanish era because of some striking similarities of the structures, the culture and the crafts. 3. The best sangria I had in Barcelona. What is Spain without sangria?! In my 4 days in Barcelona, for me, I had the best sangria here.
