The Firefighter Mayday Rescue Strap represents the latest advance in firefighter bunker suit technology and engineering. Designed and invented by a Toronto firefighter and developed in conjunction with Starfield-Lion and Lion Apparel, it has 2 primary functions. The first is the extrication of a downed firefighter in a feet first direction. The second is the shortening of the packaging protocol, by eliminating the need to undo any SCBA straps.
