Field Marshal Montgomery pipe band under Pipe Major Richard Parkes MBE playing at the Scottish Pipe Band Championships in Levengrove Park, Dumbarton on 19 May 2012. The band's medley comprises: Beverley's Wedding [Michael Grey] John Paterson's Mare [trad.] Sparky Cherry [Ryan Canning] MacLeod's Oran Mohr [trad.] The Fiddler's Joy [trad.] The Lads of Kilmarnock [trad.] Tommy and Ronny's Double Tonic [Alan MacDonald] The Train Journey North [Tom Anderson] The band was placed first in the Grade One Championship Competition. Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe band is based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland and currently holds all the UK Grade One championships as well as the All Ireland Championship - a remarkable achievement. What a shame, then, that the performance should be marred by announcements on the public address system [from about 2 minutes in]. This happened to several bands during the course of the afternoon, an unfortunate first for Dumbarton.
