FEEDING COWS BY HAND & AVOIDING GETTING TRAMPLED. 12.31.2019

CAKING COWS: MY FAVORITE WINTERTIME CHORE! Watch as we hand feed some cows and I avoid getting trampled at the feed line. _______ I didn’t grow up caking cows so this ranch chore is new to me and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do on the ranch. Typically the whole family loads up in our little 1993 Ford Truck and we head out to turn on the siren and feed our cows. Since our cattle graze corn stalks in the winter we have to supplement them with “cake” which is a protein and energy supplement to help them meet all their caloric needs.
