Fear the Walking Dead - Season 1 Episode 2 So Close, Yet So Far - Review Alright what’s going on guys it’s Trev back again here to bring you my second review for AMC’s spin off or companion series for the original Walking Dead which is of course called, Fear the Walking Dead. This is for Fear the Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 2 which is called, So Close Yet So Far. I felt like this was a pretty good follow up to the premiere episode and am going to give it a 7.8 out of 10. It was a decent episode by itself but I am in all honesty a little worried about the pacing of the show since we only have 6 episodes this first season. Like the premiere episode, episode 1 this episode did not feature very many zombies. It did have more than the original but we are not full on zombie apocalypse mode yet, we are basically seeing a few zombies here and there as the spread of the infection continues. It seems that Matt has died already and become a zombie as Alycia is coping with losing him and still in some sort of denial about it. Madison visits her school and finds that the principle has actually turned into a zombie and uses a fire extinguisher to put him down in order to save Tobias. Travis finds Liza and his son Christopher and they hold up shop in a small barber shop with a family that was nice enough to let them in during a riot that has broken out on the streets due to the police needing to shoot down some zombies or walkers if you prefer to try and keep the peace. This of course turns into mayhem as people have no idea what’s going on and in the end we get a pretty good last few minutes with a neighbour defencelessly getting eaten by a fresh turned male zombie. Synopsis: While Madison struggles to keep Nick from crippling withdrawal, Travisventures out to find his son before Los Angeles falls.
