FD RX 7 Flasher Mod Adjust LED Turn Signal Flash Speed

Have you ever installed LEDs for your turn signal lights on your FD RX-7 and noticed that the signals flash rapidly? I conduct a little experiment in this video to correct this issue. The turn signal and hazard flash controller is located in the CPU #2 under the dash on the driver’s side. Rumor has it that pulling out and/or replacing the R1 resistor on this circuit board can correct the rapid flash issues with LEDs. We figure out which method works. Obviously this fix will prevent the rapid flash function from letting you know that there may be a light out, but as discerning car nuts, we will notice when one of the lights goes out!
