Father saves his daughter, gets injured in a hit-and-run in LA

Los Angeles authorities have released the surveillance video of a hit-and-run incident that left a dad with a broken leg after he pushed his daughter out of harm's way. The incident occurred in Los Angeles' Glassell Park at about 5.15pm on November 16, 2018, when Michael Devore and his daughter, 11, were using a crosswalk while walking across a street. In the video, Devore and the child can be seen walking across a zebra crossing with what appears to be the right of way, considering a silver-colored car clearly stops and waits for them to pass while they're halfway across the street. But, when Devore and daughter are only feet away from the sidewalk, a red car can be seen approaching rapidly from the right.
