A range experiment where I am testing the velocity and accuracy of my rifle reloads compared to a Hornady Factory load with the same bullet. The caliber is 7mm-08 in a Remington model Seven rifle. The bullet is a 7mm (.284 In.) 139 grain Hornady interlock bullet. The propellant is 42.5 grains of IMR 4064 powder. I test it against the Hornady American Whitetail load with a 139 grain Interlock bullet. I am shooting 3 rounds each at 100 yards for velocity and accuracy. The chronograph is a Competition Electronics at 10 feet from muzzle. Hornady 7mm-08 factory load, 139 gr. average velocity 2718 feet per second measured.
