Facebook phone number privacy issue (reverse search)

WATCH THIS - it's important! Did you know that Facebook acts as one big reverse-search mobile phone book? Did you know that people can look up a mobile number on Facebook and find the owner, even if the owner's set their number visibility to "Only me"? This was reported to Facebook, they failed to reply or do anything about it, so here's how it works and, more importantly, HOW TO STOP IT!
