Built in 1929 as a large spa destination for the mineral water in the area, it was extremely advanced with cold mineral water pumped into all 450 rooms. After the discovery of new medications in the 40's and 50's the popularity of mineral water's healing properties drastically declined thus causing the hotel to struggle to find guests. The building has been closed since 1972 and has endured a lot of decay.
