Almost every week, the issue of Iran and nuclear weapons makes it into the news. How close is Iran to having nuclear capabilities? If Iran did develop nuclear weapons, what's the likelihood that they would be used? How is Israel prepared to respond to such a scenario? This month's Expert on the Spot features Prof. Shlomo Aronson, an expert on the Iranian nuclear issue and a professor of the Department of Political Science here at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Aronson's research focuses on the Holocaust and its impact, as well as Israel's foreign and security policy. He has written numerous books, including "The Politics and Strategy of Nuclear Weapons in the Middle East."
