Some testing and experiments with the PCM-F1 digital audio format, usually on Beta (Betamax) tapes, but in this case also on Umatic tape. Includes PCM-501ES and PCM-701ES decoders and a PCB of the same design as the Whistlewood SPDIF output option. There will be more information about the Whistlewood type SPDIF modification later.
