 Beckstrand Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to improving quality of life for cancer patients and their families. The local and national campaigns featuring Emmy-nominated actress and humanitarian, Eva La Rue, launched in Spring 2011, and highlight actual patients served by the Foundation in a series themed « The Butterfly AFFECT ». The series of PSAs with stunning super 35mm visuals and movie theater-quality surround sound allows viewers to witness and be touched by inspiring patient stories, and the positive impact of Beckstrand's help within the cancer community. The PSA campaign started airing in 2011 across the nation in movie theatre lobbies via NCM Media Networks, on major CBS TV stations nationwide, on Digital Billboards, in Los Angeles and Orange Counties on network television during primetime, and the Help Kids With Cancer YouTube Channel. Eva invited college-bound teen cancer patients and survivors to apply for tuition awards through Beckstrand's National Scholarship Program. ~*~ Eva and her husband, Joe Cappuccio, alongside their friend Sarah Nean Bruce, developed, spearheaded and launched the National Scholarship Program with Beckstrand by personally donating and raising money to initiate the first round of scholarships in 2011.
