Esalq Institutional video

“Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture (referred to as Esalq, its acronym in portuguese) was established in 1901 in Piracicaba, SP, as a result of the lionhearted efforts of Luiz Vicente de Souza Queiroz. This key figure, whose conspicuous contributions, ultimately allowed for Esalq’s successful establishment and completion of his own dreams and aspirations. In 1934, Esalq proudly became one of the units of the newly created University of São Paulo (USP) educational system, a major contribution to what would soon be placed among Brazil’s and South America’s top universities. Since its establishment, Esalq has awarded over 15.000 undergraduate degrees, as well as 10,000 Master’s and Doctoral degrees at various agriculture fieldas of expertise.
