Engyoji Temple (円教寺）, Himeji City

Engyoji Temple　（円教寺） is located in Himeji City　（姫路市） of Hyogo Prefecture in Japan. Located over a height of 1000 feet on top of Mt. Shosha, this temple is also called Shoshazan Engyoji. It is Temple #27 in the Saikoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage of Western Japan. Some scenes of Tom Cruise's movie "The Last Samurai" were shot at this temple precincts.
