Recipe in English HERE: INGREDIENTS for Dough 6 Cups of all purpose Flour 1/4 cup of Sugar 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder 1 Teaspoon of Salt 1 Cup of Vegetable Shortening 1/4 cup of Milk 1/2 Teaspoon of Sugar Water as needed PREPARATION FOR DOUGH In a bowl, mix together 6 cups of all purpose Flour, 1/4 cup of Sugar, 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder, and 1 Teaspoon of Salt. Mix everything well. Now, add in 1 Cup of Vegetable Shortening and using your hands dissolve the shortening until the consistency is sand-like as shown in the video. Add in some water and mix the dough with your hands. Keep kneading the dough until it doesn't stick to your hands ( about 5 minutes ). Once finished, apply Vegetable Shortening to your hands and rub it onto the ball of dough as shown in the video. Now that the ball of dough is done, pull smaller balls of dough out of the ball of dough as shown in the video. Once you have made the ball of dough into little balls of dough, apply more Vegetable Shortening to your hands and rub it onto the small balls of dough. MAKING THE PIES Next, put a ball of dough into a bowl of Flour to give it a coat. Now place coated ball on a flat surface and shape using a roller as shown in the video. Take a Tablespoonful of Pumpkin pie filling ( Recipe HERE:https://youtu.be/SKn2npB6wyE ) and place it onto the dough on one side only. Next, pull the opposite side over to cover the pumpkin filling and shape it into a Empanada while crimping the edge as shown in the video. Now place the Empanada onto a cookie sheet that is oiled. Make enough Empanadas to fill your cookie sheet. Now that the sheet is full, mix 1/2 Teaspoon of Sugar with 1/4 cup of Milk, now use this mixture to coat every Empanadas' surface so that they attain a Golden Brown finish. Do this right before you put them in the oven. Now put them into the preheated 375 F ( 190 C ) oven, and lower it to 350 F ( 176 C ) and cook them for 15-20 minutes until both sides achieve a Golden Brown color. Let Cool, Serve and ENJOY!
