Electronics: This video shows how to use a 2n3055 transistor to make a light bulb dimmer or motor speed control electric circuit.
It shows basic operation of a Transistor and how to use one to control electric current. Schematic is included in the video
This circuit is highly inefficient as the transistor gets extremely hot. PWM is the best way to achieve this, however this is more complex. This circuit is a good way for a beginner to understand transistor current control.
Circuit uses a 12V 7 Ah battery
100 ohm 0.6w resistor
10K linear potentiometer (Variable resistor)
