Ekadashi date is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. In the Puranas it is also known as Hari Vasar or Hari Din. Ekadashi fast is observed 24 days throughout the year. Ekadashi date falls twice a month (Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha and Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha). But this year there will be 25 Ekadashi. This is happening due to more mass.
