East Carolina's Avion Jones Clears 2.31 (7 feet, 7 inches) in the Men's High Jump

On his way to winning his second-straight men's high jump title, East Carolina's Avion Jones cleared the bar at 7-7.0/2.31 meters. The senior shattered his own meet record of 7-0.50/2.15 meters to post the top mark in the NCAA this season, and become eligible for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials by surpassing the qualifying height of 7-5.75/2.28 meters.
