Dvinsk: Sonia Kit of Dvinsk (Dinaburg/Daugavpils)

Sara (Sórele, Sonia) Kit, whose walls are adorned with the miniature aprons she makes (and gives far and wide as good-will gifts), recalls how she started sewing at age six in the orphanage where she grew up, here in Dvinsk (Daugavpils, Latvia), after her mother died in childbirth with her.
