IMPORTANT update: Seems Duet3D has changed the PT100 boards and they come with some switches to do the 1-2 / 3-4 Bridges, so there's no need to do the cable 1-2 3-4 bridges like I did, that's great since it makes everything easier. This is the basic guide to 'what goes where' to does who plan to move from the old outdated and with very old drivers UM2.1.X boards to the fantastic Duet3D with better steppers, much more expansion posibilities and overall, better/modern firmware. After this video, as soon I get another free day, I will upload configuration files for a basic setup of a UMO+ and a UM2, so even a new user (following some basic steps) can change his um2 board to a duet3D as painless as possible. Also, it's interesting to point out that UM2.1.4 NEW machines boards, AFAIK, don't have the 5 stepper anymore, UM don't added them in flavor (for wherever their reasons) UM3 that do have the 5 steppers. So if your UM board dies, and you don't want to gamble with a china clone, Duet3D offers you Wifi, really nice microstepping interpolation, more expansion (great for Mark2 or a future version with more tools) and it allows to customize practically anything. Also, as I love, it's fully open source and the guys on the Duet3D.com forum are fast answering doubs and questions. I been using this board for 5-6 months and I could not be happier, it works fantastic, the stepper noise it's close to nothing and everything moves better and more precise. I'm not getting paid for talking about this board in any way, and I even bough a second board some weeks ago. It's just pasion for the good stuff.
