CORRECTION TO THE INFORMATION IN THE VIDEO.
AFTER YOU SELECT THE GRUB EFI FILE AS A TRUSTED SOURCE YOU WILL LIKELY NEED TO DISABLE SECURE BOOT.
My system has somehow changed such that an Ubuntu update to Grub won't work with secure boot enabled.
It appears now my system's EFI partition can't be written to by Ubuntu with secure boot enabled, so a Grub update fails.
To recover my system I needed to:
- Get into the BIOS
- Reset secure boot to factory default, then save & exit
- Immediately get back into the BIOS
- Disable Secure Boot but keep the BIOS in UEFI mode, then save & exit
- Boot the PC from a Live Ubuntu USB stick(need to pick the USB stick in the BIOS)
- Run the Ubuntu evaluation
- Run the simple "Recommended" Boot Repair described here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair
- Shut down
- Reboot & get into the BIOS
- Then I could use the process in the video to select the Grub file
