Drum Lesson by Gospel Drum Tips: 5 Stroke Roll

We share tips and knowledge on gospel drumming, mostly in Bahasa Indonesia, some are in English. Material and tips are provided by Toar Pelenkahu. In this episode, I want to share about 5 Stroke Roll, a simple rudiment yet often used in various type of playing. The Roll is simple, I see it like a combination of Double Stroke roll (RRLL) and add 1 stroke (R) at the end. So the content will be (RRLLR). My suggestion this time is to try to play it at slow tempo first until your hands get used to the move! Then you can try to go faster. Don't forget to use the metronome every time you practice.
