Dr. Shofu, Cardiologist | Genesis HealthCare System

Meet Abimbola Shofu, M.D., a general cardiologist with the Genesis Heart, Lung & Vascular Group. Dr. Shofu has clinical expertise in general consultative and preventative cardiology, multimodality cardiac imaging, perioperative cardiac care for cardiac surgeries and cardiovascular health in women. She performs many procedures and tests including transthoracic echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardiac MRIs, non-invasive vascular tests and nuclear stress tests. Dr. Shofu earned her doctor of medicine at Escuela Lationamericana de Medicina in Havana, Cuba. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
