http://DCWine.com The old schoolhouse in Carlsville, Wisconsin, home of the Door Peninsula Winery, was the scene of a battle between competitors representing four of Door County's favorite non-profit organizations in the 4th Annual Great Grape Stomp. Kate LeRoy, of the Ridges Sanctuary eventually out-stomped everyone to emerge as winner of a $250 Door Peninsula Winery product donation to use for fundraising. Ryan Powley, placed second for Door County Habitat for Humanity. Lindsey Petersilka, stomped grapes for Sunshine House and "I Love Lucy" wannabe, Sara McKillop stepped up for United Way of Door County. The event was just one of many fun doings at the 12th Annual Carlsville Day festivities just 7 miles north of Sturgeon Bay, held each year on the last Saturday of July.
