A captivating performance with violin & accordion, Nick Ariondo composed the Doina and especially arranged the Hora Staccato for Ayke Agus, master violinist, pianist & author of "Heifetz As I Knew Him". The opening Doina, in the Romanian Gypsy tradition, displays a typical rhapsodic-like slow section, followed immediately by sudden change in character to a quick, energetic dance-like tempo.
