Documentary Film - 'It's Elementary, Talking About Gay Issues In School' (part 5)

1996 Educational Documentary showing examples of how teachers are teaching young children about LGBT people and their families in a manner appropriate for their age. AntiGay "family values" organizations often claim lessons like this are " teaching our kids homosexuality in the classroom", making it sound as though these young kids are being exposed to gay sex lessons. As you can see, that is not the case. Some parents object to lessons such as these on a religious or moral basis claiming that they don't want their children growing up thinking that lgbt people or same-sex families are "normal" or that homosexuality is "ok" when the bible clearly states that it is not. While I fully believe that everyone has the right to adhere to their own religious and moral standards, the fact remains that gay people do exist in all walks of life and shouldn't be forced into hiding simply because a person of faith finds them morally unacceptable. .
