Many people find fasting beneficial, but it's NOT REQUIRED on a ketogenic or low carb diet. Most people *can* fast, but you don't *have to.* Find out what fasting is, who might want to do it and why, and who should NOT fast. Hint: You're not doing anything wrong if you don't fast, and you can absolutely get good results on keto/low carb without fasting.
**One thing I did not address in this video is autophagy. I'll do another video sometime on this, because it's an important concept, and some people use fasting as adjunct (not standalone but *adjunct*) interventions to complement conventional therapies for cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, disease, and other issues. I could have covered it here, but I'm trying to keep the videos short. I'll do a separate one on this sometime and get into a little more of the science, rather than general principles like I did here.
