Do the Ghillie suits in Arma 3 make it harder for the AI to find you?

Does the AI see you while you are wearing a ghillie suit in Arma 3? This was a question asked on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/arma/comments/32ebps/will_ghillie_suits_work_vs_the_ai/ I wanted to find out for myself, I guessed that the clothing you were wearing did not help you hide, but I was not sure. Three tests were made: a 400m crawl towards an AI enemy. The closest I got was 50 meters without a Ghillie suit on. The second test was to have the AI walk towards myself from 50 meters. The enemy quickly found me wearing my ghillie suit, and could not see me without it. The third test (not shown) is the enemy walking past me at 50m, and 25m. The enemy never saw me on this test. I think that the enemy has no way to tell if you are wearing a ghillie suit or not. So when fighting the AI these things don't matter. However, this is just my theory; there are many more ways to test this in order to prove it or not.
