Do Dave Ramsey’s Baby Steps Really Work?

Welcome back to another addition of The Wealth Board™. Today we are talking about one of my mentors, Dave Ramsey. I’ve been a huge fan for quite sometime. His book The Total Money makeover was probably the first personal finance book that I read. There is so much practicality and simplicity in this book. We are going to go through The Baby Steps today and discuss why Dave Ramsey's Baby Steps work.? The steps are easy to follow, literally anyone can follow these steps: ➡️1. Save $1,000 [1:46] - One-third of Americans don’t have $1,000 in savings. ➡️2. Pay off debt [3:03] - Start by paying off debt with the smallest balance first. ➡️3. Emergency fund [5:40] - You want to have enough to cover 3-6 months of household expenses. ➡️4. Investing [6:47] - You should set a goal of investing 15% of your household income. ➡️5. College fund [8:36] - You want to start investing in a college fund for. Your children as early as you can. ➡️6. Pay off mortgage [10:14] - If you want to be totally debt free this makes sense. ➡️7. GIVE [11:32] - More money = more impact.
