DMR vs FM vs dPMR

Range test of these 3 different types of voice transmission. Both digital types had encryption on, so this probably would have reduced the range slightly. I am planning to do another video in the future with encryption off on both radios. The radios are Motorola DP3400 (DMR) (also know as the XPR 6100 in North America), Kirisun S780 (dPMR), and Baofeng UV-5R (12.5Khz FM). See my other videos for more info on the kirisun radio. It is dPMR. Admittedly this is not a fair comparison of the modes, since the Kirisun radio has very bad RF performance. It is more a test of the radios. The DP3400 is transmitting in both DMR and FM, and the UV-5R is only being used to receive the DP3400 when it is transmitting in FM.
