Here is a simple Sheet Metal folder, or Brake that can be easily made at home with a few basic tools. The design is fairly common if you look on the inter webs. Despite the fact I used a Metal Lathe, the hinge can be bought off the shelf at most hardware stores. You will need a welder however and some metal cutting tools like a grinder, oh and a big hammer........comes in handy :) The measurements of the steel used for the build of this folder are as follows; Stationary Bed - 100 x 75 x 8 mm Angle Bending Bar - 50 x 50 x 5 mm Angle Clamping Bar 2 pieces of 40 x 40 x 5mm Angle The bed length for bending is 800mm Threaded Rod is M16 The thickness of steel I bent in my trials was 1mm sheet and 3mm Flat bar (25 w x 3mm). Did the job with ease. I mad some mistakes in this build and I showed those and what I did to correct them. This folder will probably feature in up coming video's If you have any questions feel free to drop them in the comments below. Thanks for watching.
