Extra 16MB of RAM on the Pi 2/3: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=180420 Simple overclocking settings from Retropie: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Overclocking Overclocking stability test: http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#Overclock_stability_test Other tweaks: You can disable the swapfile (not required at all on the Pi 2 or 3 under any situation with Retropie) and redirect some logs to a small amount of temporary RAM to reduce SD card wear using tools from my pitools repository, which can be found here: https://github.com/zipplet/pitools You'll want to clone the repository and install no_swap followed by logs_to_ram. I have tested this with the latest release of Retropie. There are also tools there to disable the built-in wifi and bluetooth adaptors if you are not using them, which might free up some CPU (and definitely frees up some RAM).
