Disassembling the Junkyard 4.8L LS Engine for the S-10 Swap Burnout Truck!

After picking up this 90,000 Mile 4.8L LS engine we decided to pull it apart and inspect it to prepare for the cam swap we are going to leave the SBE alone and just disassemble the LR4 down to the short block! We plan to put a big cam and some new valve train parts in this re build to help with longevity of the engine while doing huge burnouts with it! If you haven't hit that subscribe button yet please do! https://www.youtube.com/buildtunerace?sub_confirmation=1 While pulling the 862 heads off this engine we were able to confirm that it does have flat top pistons which verifies that this is a 4.8L and not a 5.3. We pulled the cam out as well and verified everything looked ok as well as push rods and lifters. We plan to replace the stock LS lifters and might install a trunion upgrade as well!
